You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead or Alive, was released as a single in November. It was written by Pete Burns with his fellow band members Steve Coy, Tim Lever and Mike Percy; and was produced by the Stock Aitken Waterman trio.
The Winter Olympics were held between 8th and 19th February in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. Torvill and Dean won the ice dance competition for Great Britain. The free dance was skated to Maurice Ravel's Boléro.
